Event Volunteer

The Georgian Triangle Humane society is a non-for-profit charity that works to provide innovative programs and compassionate services to pets and people in the south Georgian Bay region and beyond. We rely heavily on a variety of activities to raise awareness and funds to help the dogs and cats in our care.

In 2023, by promoting GTHS programs and services, more than 1500 homeless cats and dogs were provided shelter and 1300 animals found their forever home, 4000 youth were positively impacted, approximately 3000 spay/neuter/dental/specialized surgeries were performed, 2784 donors supported our mission and 1000 pets were supported through our Pet Pantry program.

Description
Reporting to the Annual Fund Manager (or delegate), Event Volunteers undertake activities to entice interest in GTHS Signature events (such as Walk for Pets, GTHS Golf Tournament, etc.), represent the GTHS at events within our community (such as Christmas or Pride parades and third party fundraisers), and also provide onsite support to ensure these events are successful. This volunteer makes a positive impact representing and providing the first impression of our organization, and ensures that attendees enjoy their experience. As the first point of contact for the GTHS, memorable, fun interactions and excellent customer service differentiates GTHS volunteers from the rest.
