Adoptions Photographer

The Georgian Triangle Humane Society is a not-for-profit charity that provides abandoned, neglected and abused domestic animals a second chance in life at a forever home. The Adoptions Team facilitates the adoption and subsequent retention of approximately 1300 homeless animals annually, and the Adoptions Photographer contributes towards this success by helping raise awareness of the cats and dogs who are waiting to be adopted.

Description
Reporting to the Adoptions Coordinator, the Adoptions Photographer takes photographs and videos of our adoptable animals and uploads the content to PetPoint for visibility by members of the public who are looking to adopt.
Time Commitment
Approximately 2 hours per week, ideally twice a week (1 hour per visit to GTHS).  A minimum commitment of 6 months is required.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Take close-up images and videos to effectively promote and showcase the personality of each adoptable animal
  • Upload images and videos to PetPoint
  • Coordinate with the Adoptions Coordinator for overlooked animals requiring new / additional images
  • Liaise with the Cat Care and Dog Care Coordinators, as required, to access adoptable animals
Qualifications
  • 18 years of age minimum
  • A commitment to animal welfare
  • Experience working with or handling cats and dogs
  • Self-motivated and demonstrates attention to detail
  • Interest in photography is an asset
  • Independent
  • Able to work alone and in a team environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Must have a cellphone / camera
  • Must have internet access and device such as cellphone / tablet / laptop / desktop computer for image uploads
  • Knowledge of, or experience with, PetPoint an asset
