On an early, chilly spring day in 2023, a 2-year-old Domestic Shorthair was brought to the GTHS Animal Centre by a Meaford couple who found him as a stray. It was clear that the poor cat needed emergency medical care due to some serious eye injury he sustained. Once at the GTHS Hospital, the GTHS team jumped into action to assist him. Unfortunately, the cat’s left eye had to be removed.
After having his left eye removed, the cat, who was named Tobias, slowly began to adjust to life with only his right eye. Once fully recovered and cared for, he was ready to find new forever home, which he deserved. Luckily for him, the couple who found Tobias and rushed to get him medical help decided he would be a wonderful addition to their family. It was clear a deep bond was formed between the couple and Tobias that was built on compassion and trust. The brave cat was the right pet for them so they happily adopted him.
Tobias, a stray cat who was in desperate need of help, found a home full of trust, kindness and love.
