The GTHS has a phenomenal relationship with their rescue partner the Animal Rescue Foundation. This incredible group helps dogs from northern Ontario that need a second chance at a forever home.
Tobey was found wandering on his own on a reserve up north and rescued by ARF Ontario. Super friendly with people and other dogs, Tobey jumped right into the van awaiting his new adventures. The staff and volunteers at the GTHS fell in love with Tobey immediately, he is a playful, goofy dog that is always smiling! Unfortunately, now that Tobey has been in the care of the GTHS for over a month he is becoming frustrated with his kennel and is crossing his paws that he will find a forever home soon!
Tobey’s ideal home would include activities such as hiking, biking, running, swimming, loving, and snuggling – to name a few! This boy is young and hasn’t been taught many good canine manners, so some training is needed. Tobey would do very well in an active single, couple, or family home with no small children or small animals. He has a strong desire to have a canine companion, just needing some help with his introduction, as he can be a little ‘rude’ with excitement!
If this young man sounds like the missing piece to your puzzle, please contact the GTHS by email at dogadoptions@gths.ca or by phone at 705-445-5204 (ext. 229).
