Little Edna and Earl were found under the porch of a Collingwood home, when a thoughtful bystander called the Georgian Triangle Humane Society for assistance. The two little kitties were inseparable and cuddled together for comfort.
When Edna and Earl arrived at the shelter for their initial examination, it was discovered that both kittens had infected eyes. Our GTHS veterinarian, Dr. Anick Amaro, was able to salvage Earl’s eyes, but unfortunately, Edna’s eyes were so badly infected eye that one of them needed to be removed to prevent further complications.
With the help of our donors, we were able to get Edna into surgery to have her eye extracted.
After Edna’s recovery, she and Earl were happily reunited in a caring foster home where they continue to snuggle, play and gain strength together until they are ready for adoption.
Thank you to our committed donors for helping Edna and Earl.
