Ryder

There is no better way to celebrate the weekend, then to read about our GTHS alumni thriving in their new homes!
Here’s a great update we received from Ryder’s new parents:

“Drake (Ryder) is doing great!
Last night was the first night he got to sleep completely free, and all of the upstairs doors open. As far as we can tell, he only went for one wander in the night, but he just went to get a drink, then came right back. This morning we invited Drake and his dog-sister Disney up onto the bed for a cuddle, and because the door was open, cats Puma and Everest hopped up, too.
Drake thrives on cuddle time, and has fully incorporated it into his goodnight routine with our youngest son…and his morning routine.

It’s also really cool to watch Disney and Drake share a bone. Disney had 2 large bones that she’s been working on for about 4 months. When I first gave one to Drake, he very gently took it in his mouth, looked at me, dropped it on the floor at his feet, then looked at me again. At first I thought he was concerned, as it was clearly Disney’s…but I eventually realized that he actually didn’t know what to do with it. Now he plays with it and chews it.

All in all, he’s an incredible young man, and we are super happy to have him as part of our family.”
