PetSmart Owen Sound Adoptathon finds families for homeless pets

OWEN SOUND, ON: The PetSmart Adoptathon event on November 11^th, 12^th and 13^th was a smashing success with the event finding loving homes for 12 cats and kittens and 1 dog from the Georgian Triangle Humane Society.

“We are so grateful for the support of our community, PetSmart Owen Sound and PetSmart Charities. There were tons of families looking to find a new furry friend, it was wonderful to witness!” states Lynne Patterson, adoption coordinator for the GTHS.

The PetSmart Adoptathon ran November 11^th 12^th and 13^th, in celebration of the National Adoption Weekends hosted by PetSmart Charities.

“The National Adoption Weekends take place four times annually so we can’t wait for the next event! We hope that as word spreads, our ability to find homes for these deserving pets will only increase. Last month (October) we had over 130 cats and kittens turn to us for help and dozens of dogs. These adoption events really help us to continue to help.“
