A loving family came into GTHS one day, and after just a short while with us (ok ok…with our animals), they fell in love! They visited a few times, trying to determine which cat would “adopt them”. After a few visits, cute little Annika was the clear choice!
THE DAY ANNIKA WENT HOME
A little while after they got Annika settled, they came back for another visit…..this time to meet our handsome boy, Red. They feel in love (round 2!), put in an application and ended up taking this boy home earlier this month!
We recently received an update from Annika and Red’s family. They are doing so well and it brings a tear to our eyes (seriously!). It makes us so happy to watch one animal find their forever home, and of course even happier when TWO are united with a wonderful family such as this one.

We adopted Annika on April 7th, 2014. She has been an absolute delight from day one. It was like she had always been part of our family. She is an equal amount of cuddly and spunky and fun. She loves our 4 children and her recently adopted friend Red who is also from GTHS. We feel so blessed that she chose my husband and I on two separate visits. On April 18th, we adopted our friend Red. He has brought our family many new adventures in the past couple of weeks. He loves Annika and our children too. We go for many walks a day and have discovered the joys of dog parks. Red is working on his table manners but has so much potential and is proving himself here with us. With a bit of professional guidance and training Red will make the perfect pet. We love him and are so glad that Lynne (GTHS’ Dog Care and Adoption Supervisor) trusted us with his care. We have two wonderful new family members because of your wonderful organization. Thanks for all that you all do!! Oh and we kept their kennel names because we felt they suited them perfectly.
