National Volunteer Week is our FAVOURITE time of year at the Georgian Triangle Humane Society. It gives us the chance to celebrate our OUTSTANDING Volunteer Team. Each day of National Volunteer Week we are featuring a GTHS Volunteer that has gone above and beyond for all the animals in our programs. We could not accomplish as much as we do without them!
PAM
Position at the GTHS
Dog Care Team Lead, Animal Transport, Safer Testing, Fundraising, on the Board of Directors, & the Chair of the HR Committee
Pam has been volunteering her time at GTHS for 1 and a half years. She volunteers at GTHS because she wanted to be a part of and help make a difference for the animals in our community. When she moved to Collingwood in 2014, she looked for an organization in the community to get involved in as she had been volunteering for a number of years with different organizations. “Right from the start I was welcomed and made to feel a part of this wonderful family of staff and volunteers. I always look forward to my shift on Sunday afternoons, working alongside fellow animal lovers and meeting people in the community.” Pam was part of the team who helped 216 Dogs & Puppies find their forever homes in 2015! The GTHS is her ‘home away from home’ and we are so proud to have her be part of this amazing team.
