Dog Admin Volunteer & Events and Fundraising Volunteer – Melissa

Melissa is a Dog Admin Volunteer and an Events & Fundraising Volunteer at. She came to GTHS because she had heard from friends just what a great shelter it was!
Melissa LOVES dogs and wanted to be a part of helping them find their forever homes. Her favourite time at the Shelter is when a dog finds their forever family – it is very gratifying. Melissa started out as a Dog Walking volunteer and soon became involved with Meet and Greets, feeding, medicating, bathing and any other tasks that might need to be done. Our doggies are so lucky to have volunteers like Melissa around!
Not long after joining the Dog Admin team, Melissa was also lending her talents and time to our events and fundraising team. She has sat on committees for both Furball and our Dogfest and Walkathon. More recently, Melissa also took on the role of Coin Box Team Lead. She is talented and driven to help animals in need, and we are so thankful that she has chosen to give her time to GTHS!
