Kittypalooza 2019 was another incredibly successful adoption event, resulting in finding loving homes for 45 cats and kittens at the Georgian Triangle Humane Society. Of these, 19 kittens and 26 adults were adopted.
“As always, we are just blown away by the support and enthusiasm from our community. Adopters were lined up along the building and out into the parking lot for our open time of noon on Friday afternoon” says Ayrlea Manchester, Adoptions Coordinator.
This year, Kittypalooza was condensed into 2 days, taking place on Friday July 5th and Saturday July 6th. Highlighting the event were the adoption of several pairs of lucky GTHS kitties who went home together, long term residents found their purrfect new families and we had some wonderful adopters come in to adopt our “Spirit Cats” (shy) and “Special Paws” (medical challenges), which was heart-warming to see.
The few days following Kittypalooza tend to be a little on the quiet side, allowing our team to clean, organize and prepare to help more homeless cats and kittens in the community.
“Not only is Kittypalooza an extraordinary adoption event, but it is so vital in helping us manage the high volume of cats and kittens in need during the summer months. We know that our shelter will fill up again quickly as there are many lives needing our help and this event always serves to increase our ability to do. It is going to be a busy summer!”
A big, big thank you to everyone who came out to adopt one of our deserving shelter kitties during this fantastic adoption event! GTHS also sends a HUGE thank you to our title sponsor for KITTYPALOOZA, Maddy Gillis with RE/MAX four seasons Doug Gillis & Associates Realty, Brokerage for helping us execute KITTYPALOOZA 2019.
Thank you to our friends at 97.7 Max FM for their support and being onsite yesterday. A thank you goes out to Royal Canin as well for providing samples of their amazing pet food to our adopters and to Dave West for coming by to capture some truly wonderful moments.
It was an absolutely incredible 2-days and we feel so fortunate to be part of such a wonderful community full of animal lovers and adopters!
