Harry, now known as Scout, was adopted in September 2013 at roughly 4 months of age. He loved attention, scratches and of course, human affection. This love-bug was adopted to a wonderful forever home and we just heard from his mom Paige. Here’s what she had to say about his new lease on life:
I just got off the phone with one of your volunteers who was doing a follow-up on a cat I adopted back in September. His name was Harry and he was about 4 months old, grey with a white spot on his chest (LOVED people).
Harrys new name is Scout, and after 3 weeks of hating her, his new best friend is an 8 year old lab-shepherd named Hadley. They are always together either playing with or grooming each other (ridiculous)…
I’ve sent along a few pictures for a “progress” report… he’s a bit overweight but we’re working on that (he is very vocal when his dish is empty). He is also very smart – I’ve taught him to come to his name and how to ‘sit’ like a dog… he learns quickly when treats are involved and he’s learned that if he meows and scratches up my leg (acting all cute) I will pick him up and carry him around (his favourite thing and also probably the reason he’s overweight).
I don’t think I could have found a better cat, and I can’t believe no one scooped him up before I did!
