In October 2022, Harley’s owner Carol collapsed at home and was rushed to the hospital. Thankfully, Carol was aware of the GTHS Emergency Board program, and with the help of loving friends, was able to connect with Outreach Coordinator, Javier.
“It was so kind of Javier to step up and help care for Harley while I was in the hospital. I honestly couldn’t have chosen a better place for Harley when I wasn’t able to care for him. We are so lucky to have the Emergency Board program at the GTHS. Knowing Harley was being cared for gave me one less thing to worry about while recovering from my medical emergency.”
Carol has made a full recovery and she and Harley enjoy their days together, while Harley watches squirrels from their front window.
