Sunday April 7th through Saturday 13th April is National Volunteer Week; a week where we recognize our incredible volunteers – the lifeblood of the GTHS organization. Volunteers are our partners. They work side by side with staff to raise funds, save lives and achieve our mission. Our volunteers are fueled by more than a pay check. Our volunteers are fueled by a passion for animals, a passion for people and ultimately, a passion for our community.
At the GTHS we are frequent witnesses to the unique, selfless and dedicated way that our volunteers give back each and every day. The teamwork and ‘sense of community’ is truly astounding. From animal care to administration, from fundraising to education, volunteers are woven into the fabric of our work and we are so grateful for each and every hour they commit.
In 2018, volunteers dedicated over 28,000 hours to the GTHS.
Please join us for National Volunteer Week in celebrating their efforts and collective impact.
