Your Continued Support Makes Our Mission Possible!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you! Your generosity and unwavering support mean the world to us at the Georgian Triangle Humane Society. Every gift you give—whether big or small—helps change lives. Because of you, vulnerable animals receive the care they need, and families in our community find the support and companionship they deserve.
I see the impact of your kindness every single day, in the eyes of a rescued pet finding safety, in the relief of a struggling pet owner receiving help, and in the joy of an adoption that changes lives forever. None of this would be possible without you.
Your compassion fuels our work, and I am deeply grateful to have you as part of our GTHS family. Together, we are creating a brighter, more compassionate future for pets and people alike.
Building the Future: The Regional Centre for Pets and People
You, our treasured donor, understands that we have always been driven by one simple goal: to help animals in need and strengthen the bonds between pets and people in our community. Our existing shelter has served us well, but the time has come for us to grow. With your support, we can make our vision a reality.
As the population in the Georgian Triangle region continues to grow rapidly, the demand for animal services is also increasing. Our current facility was designed to shelter 500 animals per year. However, we are now sheltering over 1,400 homeless animals annually. This surge in demand reflects the reality of a community that cares deeply about its animals, but one where our infrastructure has been stretched to its limits.
The new Regional Centre for Pets and People (RCPP) will allow us to expand our operations and shelter more than 3,000 animals every year—almost triple the number we currently serve. Located on five acres of land, the RCPP will be more than just an Animal Centre. It will be a vibrant community hub where youth can find companionship, members of the public can discover purpose, and animals can find the safety and care they deserve. It will also provide our community with meaningful employment and volunteer opportunities, strengthening the bond between local residents and their furry companions.
The Regional Centre for Pets and People isn’t just about today. It’s about offering hope and support for our community for the next 25 years and beyond.
RCPP Campaign Progress Update
I am deeply grateful for the overwhelming support we’ve already received as we work towards bringing the Regional Centre for Pets and People to life. This project is a reflection of the strength and spirit of our community, and I’m excited to share our progress with you.
I’m thrilled to announce that Erin Tuckey, who has been with the organization since April 2021, is stepping into the role of Capital Campaign Manager. Erin has been an integral part of the capital campaign from day one, and with this new role, she’ll be leading the charge in executing our plans for the RCPP. Erin will focus on securing major gifts, managing campaign strategies, developing targeted cultivation plans, and offering support to our Construction Committee, Campaign Cabinet, staff, and Board of Directors. She’s committed to ensuring the success of this project not only during the build but in the long-term operation of the facility as well.
Thanks to your generosity, we’ve raised an incredible $8.59 million toward our $17.6 million goal. We’ve also seen great community commitment, with Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, and Clearview contributing a total of $840,000 over the next ten years. We’re working hard to secure support from Meaford, Town of The Blue Mountains, and Grey Highlands as well, and I’ll be sure to keep you updated on our progress.
Our Construction Committee, led by Nick Minotti, our Project Manager, and our talented partners at Unity Architects, is working tirelessly to bring our vision to life. We are committed to breaking ground this year, and with your continued support, I know we’ll make it happen.
Thank you for your belief in our mission and for being part of this incredible journey. Together, we are creating a brighter future for pets and people across our region.

With heartfelt appreciation,
