Feature Volunteer: Sandy R.

Sandy R.

POSITION AT GTHS

Sandy R. has been volunteering faithfully at the GTHS Animal Shelter for many years. Primarily working in Dog Care, Sandy also volunteers at events and in animal transports.

Why Sandy is a Feature Volunteer

The GTHS Animal Shelter would not be the same without Sandy. Volunteering EVERY Sunday, Sandy is a key member of our Dog Care Team, helping to ensure that all of our dogs receive their meet & greets and important care. Furthermore, Sandy is one of our most experienced and knowledgeable SAFER testers, coming an extra night each week to ensure that our adoptable dogs receive their necessary behavioural testing. Last but not least, the GTHS Dog Transport program runs largely in part from the generousity of Sandy. Volunteering on her days off, Sandy never hesitate to drive long distances to help dogs in need.

Here is what a fellow volunteer had to say about Sandy:

” Sandy has always been an “over the top” volunteer. She drives several hours to bring dogs into the shelter for adoption. She will come in on her days off and on holidays to ensure the dogs are care for.:”

Thank you Sandy for all you do for the GTHS!
