Melodee volunteers within the Cat Care Team as a Shelter Aide on Thursdays, provides ‘as needed’ help at our Treasure Tails retail store and is a committee member for our upcoming National Cupcake Day event.

I joined the GTHS in June 2018.
WHAT KEEPS YOU COMING BACK?
I have a huge passion for animals and giving back to my community.
WHAT PETS DO YOU SHARE YOUR LIFE WITH?
I have 2 Coton de Tulears – Coco and Chanel.
WHERE ARE YOU FROM? WHEN DID YOU MOVE TO THE AREA?
I was born in Montreal and went to college in NYC to study Fashion Buying & Merchandising, then moved to Toronto in the early ‘80s. I decided it was time to give up the ‘big city’ life and move to a location where I could ‘semi retire’, so chose Collingwood for the wonderful 4 season lifestyle and being close enough to family and friends in Toronto.
WHICH TALENT WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO HAVE?
I love home décor and wish I could use my love of decorating in a professional capacity.
WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OF THE BEST DAY EVER?
Spending a day with my 2 BFF furries who are now 13.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE PASTIME (HOBBY)?
I love to decorate for the seasons and search for unique items.
DO YOU HAVE ANY PHOBIAS OR FEARS?
My only fear is losing my beloved pets.
IF YOU COULD HAVE DINNER WITH ANY CELEBRITY, WHO WOULD IT BE?
It would have to be George Clooney – it’s on my bucket list! I think he’s the hottest actor!!
