About Derek
Derek joins us through the Supervised Alternative Learning Program. He has been working with the GTHS dogs and cats weekly since September. He is friendly to all animals and other volunteers, he is flexible with his duties and he is extremely reliable! He has a special gift with animals that need a one on one connection. He is patient, caring and attentive with both dogs and cats.
Derek works primarily with the GTHS dogs using our positive reinforcement training methods. Through this program Derek is helping the GTHS dogs become more adoptable and find forever homes.
Fun fact
Derek’s passion is fish and aquariums and he aspires to have a fish rescue at GTHS! Maybe one day Derek!
