Eddie Wants You To Eat Cupcakes

This is Eddie.

Eddie is handsome. Eddie knows this. His dashing good looks, stylin’ custom bowties and wild antics (so eloquently documented on social media by his dad, Dave), have made him a local internet sensation (or as Eddie would say – an A-list celebrity). So, that’s why when Eddie confidently approached us and suggested we make him our Official GTHS Cupcake Day spokescat, we knew it was the right move.

On behalf of Eddie (typing isn’t his forte), we would like to invite you to celebrate Cupcake Day with us.

Eddie wants you to know that there are so many different ways to get involved.

1) Host a Cupcake Day Party

National Cupcake Day is Monday, February 25th. Get some friends, family or colleagues together and bake for a great cause! If you’re anything like Eddie, teamwork may not be your thing, so you can also sign up as an individual. Make cupcakes, decorate them and sell to everyone you know – then donate the proceeds to our animals shelter and voila – it’s as simple as that! Check out our Cupcake Day Page for instructions on how to register.

2) Attend the Frosted Family Festival

The GTHS Animal Shelter is the place to be on Sunday, February 24th. Bring the kids for some outdoor winter fun with activities like snowshoe walks, ball hockey and of course, scrumptious cupcakes!

3) Become a participating Business

Because Eddie has sunken all his time, effort and budget on ham (his favourite food), Eddie’s Bowtie Enterprises Ltd. is all tapped out but he wants to encourage his fellow entrepreneurs to take advantage of the benefits associated with being a Cupcake Day Ambassador, Sylvia Bray, Owner of Grandma’s Beach Treats and Deputy Mayor of Wasaga Beach (Eddie’s hometown!), has certainly profited from her involvement with past Cupcake Days:

“For me, it’s a win-win for the community – it’s a fun February event and it generates happy traffic in our store” – Sylvia Bray, local business owner
