All about Bruno (Underdog)

Bruno (Underdog) is a 5 years, 2 months old male Large Mixed Breed and has been with us for 77 days.

Hi Friends,

My name is Bruno and I am a dashingly handsome, 80lb, five-year-old boy seeking a loving home of my own! I'm willing to offer lots of love and affection and endless amount of memory making moments! What do I ask for in return? Love, trust, patience, affection, training and treats, don't forget the treats!

I'm a big strong boy and I am a little nervous around some people so it might take me a bit of time to warm up to you. With proper introductions you will win me over in no time flat! You know who will never win me over? CATS! no, no, no thank you! I don't like them one little bit! Do I like other dogs? Some of them I do, I am known to be a bit of a ladies man here at the GTHS and love to play with the girl dogs. I am really good at reading them and knowing how to play very well with them. One of the girls here has even fallen in love with me and thinks she is my girlfriend! Sometimes I react to the other guy dogs here but I think they might just be jealous of me! I've been known to get a little over excited when meeting new people, and the GTHS humans think an adult-only home would be best for me, please and thank you!

The GTHS humans have placed me in the Underdog Program, which means they have identified that I have a behaviour that my new family/human and I will need to work on. Don't worry, the GTHS team will provide lots of information and resources to set us up for success, including a free 2-hour consult with the GTHS Behaviour Specialist and a very special adoption kit with lots of amazing things to help me to transition to my new home, there are high value treats, enrichment toys and more that has all been sponsored by Pedigree as part of the Pawsitive match program. The people here at the GTHS have been working really hard with me on the things I need to work on. I am learning to be less fearful when meeting strangers and working on the fact that I really don't enjoy when there is a barrier between me and other dogs or people. I am a smart boy and I know that I can do it, I just need love, patience, reassurance and support from my family and maybe a little training!

Because October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, and I'm already in the Overlooked Pets program, my adoption fee is has been reduced and I am now available by donation so I can find my forever home that much faster. My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, dewormer and a microchip. If you want to learn more about me, please come visit the GTHS and speak with one of the amazing Adoption Counsellors! The GTHS is open for adoptions from 12pm-4:00pm, every single day of the week and they would be thrilled to introduce you to me! I can't wait to meet you and am looking forward to starting my new life with my new family!

Love,

Bruno
