COVID-19 UPDATE: March 14

Dear supporters and members of the South Georgian Bay Community:

The Georgian Triangle Humane Society Animal Centre and Treasure Tails will both continue their day-to-day operations for the time being.

Should the risk level of COVID-19 increase in our region, we will re-evaluate the situation; the health and safety of our visitors, staff, volunteers and animals has been and will always be our first priority. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and keep the public and our team members updated.

We would like to assure you that we are taking extra precautionary measures to keep both the GTHS Animal Centre and Treasure Tails sanitized. Staff and volunteers have been vigorously disinfecting all surfaces multiple times daily.

We ask that you not visit the GTHS Animal Centre or Treasure Tails if you are currently experiencing or have experienced the following in the last 14 days:

  • Fever and/or onset of cough or flu like symptoms
  • Travelled outside of Canada/USA
  • Come into contact with a person who has a confirmed or potential case of COVID-19
  • Come into contact with a person with acute respiratory illness, who has travelled outside of Canada
  • Tested positive for the COVID-19 virus

If you think you have come into contact with the COVID-19 virus and are experiencing symptoms of illness, please call Telehealth Ontario at 1 866-797-0000 for medical advice.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
