Colby’s Eye Surgery

colby

Our adorable little Colby is a 5 month old kitten that came to GTHS as an orphan at the peak of our kitten season.  We immediately knew he was a special kitten as he just loved to be held, play and snuggle. Unfortunately, not long after his arrival, he developed calicivirus which caused two severe ulcers to form in each eye. Despite extensive treatment and care, Colby’s recovery was very slow. As a result of the damage he now has Entropian: a condition in which the eyelids turn inward rubbing and irritating the eye. This condition is painful and can only be treated with surgery.

To relieve Colby’s pain GTHS decided to move ahead with surgery. The operation took place on Thursday January 16th at Mountain Vista Veterinary Hospital. GTHS is asking for help to cover Colby’s surgery, medications and care. Our fundraising goal is $1,000 for this lovable teenager.
