Members of the GTHS team (both staff and volunteers) know how easy it is to fall in love when you’re working so closely with our shelter animals!
Well, special connections and bond are often made when you spend so much time with these wonderful animals and we frequently have team members adopt our GTHS cats and dogs.
Here is a fantastic update from a team member who fell in love with a our sweet senior girl Sophie and chose to take her home!
“Sophie (now Georgia) has fit in like she’s been with us for years. She and Daisy, my Maltese, slept side by side on my bed the very first night. The cats took a few days but she’s pretty much won them over.
She has a sweet disposition and loves to greet visitors with a wagging tail, no jumping or barking.
I’m delighted she’s part of my family and very happy the GTHS took her in. I’m biased but I think the GTHS does an amazing service to our community and of course to our animals”
Way to go Sophie!!
