Adoption Update: Meech

Meech captured the hearts (and sometimes the sleeves) of everyone at the GTHS when she was with us for five months earlier this year. Her independent spirit meant that she was waiting for her ideal fit, and we are over the moon that she has found it! Meech, now named Myshka sent us an update, and her adoptive mom shared how she is settling in :

Hello Everyone!
Its Me! Meech…now Myshka.

They made me ride in the back seat. Well, I’ll have you know, I was having none of that. A few little meows and a bit of panting got me sitting on Mother Dearest’s lap before we hit Thornbury. As if “they” were the only ones who were getting air conditioning.

I made it home. We sat out in the fresh air for a while and then it happened. The noise. The wicked, wicked noise of one of those creatures from Mexico. A chihuahua. And oh, doesn’t she think she’s a queen. Over she came and sniffed around MY cage. I’ll teach her, I thought. And that thought became a do. Yes, I gave her a good swat (it hit the side of the cage, but I taught her a lesson). So, mother put her back in the house. Hehe.

Eventually, we went inside and upstairs to what I believe is a washroom. How dare she! But..OMG..my cage was open! I have everything I need. I am the ruling Queen. I believe there is an outdoor palace for me the reside in. Yes, I rule.

Myshka’s mom also gave us an update:

Myshka is doing beyond great. She would live in her catio if I fed her in there!

There’s no hissing or growling between her and her sister anymore. Sometimes when I peek in the windows they’re sitting together! She catches flies. Is fascinated with squirrels and chipmunks. She drags her feather stick everywhere!

We have a harness and leash for her now. Two harnesses, actually, so she can chose her colour of the day. She is a girl after all. She’s a joy, that’s for sure!

Myshka, we are so happy to hear that you have found your place. Happy tails to you!
