Adoption Update: Mariah

We just wanted to give you a quick update on our sweet Molly girl (was Mariah). She is doing beautifully and is extremely affectionate and entertaining.

She is enjoying our large country house where she can watch all kinds of squirrels and birds from various vantage points. I also noticed that she loves to watch the movements on my computer screen. I thought I would try a few YouTube videos for cats.  She sits intently and watches.  It’s so cute to see her head and eyes darting back and forth with the movement of three critters on the screen.

She is now accustomed to coming to sleep with us. She likes to start the night off on our chests and once she’s had a few ear and chin scratches she settles in between us or at our feet.  She’s raring to go for her breakfast at 6am when Pete gets up and barrels down the stairs at top speed.  She certainly does sing for her supper (and every other meal and snack).

I have never met a kitty with such an appetite and food drive. We believe that our Golden Retriever, Abbey (now in heaven), has visited Molly to pass along her secrets of counter surfing and begging!  LOL. Molly stole a piece of roast beef off the counter and would gladly help herself from our plates if we allowed it.  She was very close to dipping her paw in my soup the other day.  I found a hole in our bag of bagels this morning. All food will now have to be hidden in the cupboards.  Hahaha. What a little devil!!!  He funny thing is, we never see her in the counters when we’re around.

As you can probably tell, we are smitten and absolutely love her. We are thrilled she waited for us. It’s a perfect match!!!
