Adoption Update: Husk

Husk and her corn-themed siblings were adopted in November 2024. Now named Lupé, her family shared this happy update with us:

Lupé has completely settled in to her new home. She hates closed doors and demands access to every room at all times. Lupé communicates through happy little chirps, letting us know when she is hungry, tired, happy, lively, or in need of snuggles.

Incredibly playful and curious, she has loved playing with any toy available. Her favourite place to sit during the day is on mom’s lap, or on the keyboard (what’s with the clack-clacky-clack?).

She is obsessed with our older cat, Desmond (9), who has welcomed her (a bit begrudgingly) as a new and fast playmate. Her favourite thing to eat is his food, and he allows it by politely stepping out of her way. She has us all wrapped around her little orange paw.

When the automatic feeder goes off, she runs to it from her location like a bat out of hell. She eats like a teenage boy. We cannot believe how big she is already! After she eats, she succumbs to the zoomies and tears around the house. She has an affinity for interior design, and enjoys rearranging our carpets.

She still has not figured out the mystery of The Blanket. We frequently warn any guests that toes are not safe here, subject to getting clawed and bitten as she attempts to understand the warm and fuzzy barrier.

At the end of the day, she is a snuggle bug, and we can always find her cuddled up under our arm or between our heads when sleeping. We are completely in love with our little one, she brings so much joy to our home. Thank you GTHS

Lu, we love hearing about your playful curiousity- happy tails to you!
