When BERKLEY came to the GTHS in January, he was incredibly nervous and scared of everyone and everything. He did wonderfully in our care!! He really began to come out of his shell; he’d get excited to see our staff and volunteers, began to love his walks and even engaged in play with other dogs!
We were SO happy to receive this update from his mom, letting us know that he’s only continued to progress in his loving new home!!
“We thought we would give all the shelter staff and volunteers an update on Berkley, who we renamed Sam, he suits Sam much more! It didn’t take very long for Sam to come out of his shell and be right at home. He loves his big brother Max, and kitties Luna and Wednesday. He goes for many walks in the forest a day, has learned to fetch a ball, frisbee, and loves having a toy basket full of stuffies, and squeakers! He has met all the extended family and is a perfect fit for us, he is so loving, and loves curling up by the fire, or cozy in the bed. We love him! Thank you!!!
