A few days have passed since Walk for Pets 2026, and we’re still smiling!
From the moment participants began arriving at Harbourview Park with their dogs, friends, families, and fundraising teams, there was an undeniable sense of excitement in the air. What followed was a day filled with connection, community spirit, and a shared commitment to helping pets in need.
Together, our community has raised more than $100,000 (and counting!) in support of pets across our region.
That number represents so much more than dollars raised. It represents second chances, lifesaving medical care, safe shelter, full food bowls, compassionate support for pet owners, and brighter futures for pets who need us most.
Throughout the morning, participants enjoyed a variety of activities and experiences, including our family zone, food trucks, beer garden, Rainbow Bridge tribute area, photo opportunities, live music, and plenty of moments to celebrate the special bond between people and their pets.
One of the most meaningful parts of the day was seeing our community come together in so many different ways. We are incredibly grateful to the volunteers, sponsors, community partners, vendors, entertainers, and staff who helped bring Walk for Pets to life. Every contribution mattered, and every person played a role in making the day a success.
Events like Walk for Pets are a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community rallies around a cause it cares about. Year after year, you continue to show up for pets, and because of you, thousands of pets will receive the care, compassion, and second chances they deserve.
And if you’re still fundraising, there’s good news: donation pages remain open until the end of June, so there’s still time to make one final push to help even more pets.
