SAVE AN ANIMAL BY DOING SOMETHING SWEET
2019 National Cupcake Day is on Monday, February 25th , and we can’t wait to celebrate with you.
There are so many different ways that you can get involved!
Host a Cupcake Day Party
Get your colleagues, schoolmates or friends & family together and throw a party! What does that look like? It’s up to you! But here’s an example:
Step 1: Choose a Date – Although Cupcake Day is on Monday, February 25th, if a better date works for you, no problem!
Step 2: Register Online at www.nationalcupcakeday.ca
Step 3: Invite everyone you know to your Cupcake Day Party – Download these posters and post at your regular stompin’ grounds (with permission, of course)! For a full host kit, log in to your personal fundraising page or visit the Ontario SPCA website.
Step 4: Bake! Bake! Bake! – No need to do this solo – recruit your kitchen-savvy friends to help
Step 5: Party on! Sell your cupcakes at your party – you can choose the price or simply ask supporters to donate an amount of their choosing – it’s up to you! Have other ideas on how to raise money at your party? Go for it!
For complete suggested step-by-step instructions, download this guide . Find some fundraising ideas and yummy cupcake recipes here!
Is baking not your forte? NO PROBLEM! Take a page from Alyssa’s book! Alyssa and her mom, Deborah, wanted to get out of their aprons and into their dancing shoes! Instead of throwing a traditional Cupcake Day Party, they threw a Zumba Fitness Party at their local community centre – complete with raffle prizes, 50/50 and a silent auction and raised $800! WAY TO GO!!! Don’t be afraid to think outside the box if you’re not a fan of baking! Here is Alyssa and her friends at her Party and Alyssa with her beloved Mr. Cat.
DONATE: Find a registered participant HERE and donate to their own personal fundraising page!
